zippycorners: Immutability simply means that something cannot be changed. You should clarify what that "something" is. The Bitcoin core software is generally not immutable, because devs are still working on it. Bitcoin transactions are generally immutable, as long as there wasn't a re-org. The Bitcoin protocol is immutable because it doesn't have a method to even BE changed without forking the network.
