estimate that it can get worse and not just work out?
i'll install a screensaver and put on 2 minutes to do "xbacklight -set 0" or something, or maybe proper screensaver but
right now it seems i got "a natural screensaver caused by unknown damage?" it was on only for 5 hours and it usually happens like that though, since it was a youtube video it didn't go back.. sigh
actually xorg has a default screensaver that all screens go black after some time if im not mistaken, or the config i got at least has it but fricking youtube\
Why the fuck are you repeatedly leaving the screen on for 5 hours
i try to not do it Thomas but my bed is right next to my chair, i get tired using computer, roll over to bed 'for a moment" and i fall asleep it always turns off but this was on a fullscreen mode on youtube and wellp
Set a strict bedtime
okay retention got way worse i asked in 3 different subreddits and no one actually replied to the problem edit: it sso funny that i can't find a hardware group or the reddit suddenly goes inactive where i can't find this out and it keeps getting worse (i mean, they spam a lot of broken monitors on those subs) taking out is the end step since they will always charge more and change it anyway
LCD pixels block light when voltage is applied. This a bit far fetched but maybe try opening it up and reattach the flex cables. Maybe the electronics are shorted or something and they keep the voltage up when it's not needed
