MTL/XMT was changed to Metal Dao correct. It’s future new use case will be governance for stable wrapped tokens like the Metal Dollar (XMD and XME). Different to the token representing the MetalChain (METAL).

Speak for yourself - If I’m reading things correctly, I bought XMT rightly assuming it was Metal. I just found out it is now a DAO token, not the governance token for the blockchain. I bought it with the understanding that it would be burnt with every mint of the stable-coin. I’ve been on holiday for a couple of weeks and I’m not super plugged in, but I’m surprised that I would’ve missed this if it was announced and talked about at length, since April.
