Whats the difference between usdt-erc20 and usdt. I thought that the

You can swap usdt erc20/bsc etc version your get usdt ppt.(now called just usdt). It's a way to combine all the different networks versions, so there won't be a need to have trading pairs for all the versions. For deposit and withdrawals you still use usdt for specific network like erc20. Check the swap and investment pages for usdt on the website , maybe it will make more sense
