Is there any reason to wait and hope that our
BTC-WXG fake token that replaces our hard-earned BTC will ever go up in price or should I just admit defeat and try to sell for Waves token and get the 10% of my value?

replaces? it's the same gateway token but renamed, the price went down because the bridge was closed long time ago, so people were exchanging this token for any other token to withdraw funds, not because it's has been 'replaced'
