If I remember right, bots have a variable somewhere to show if is_edited or not
i am constantly editing messages with my bots and they never show edited flair, can bots even send the edited flair?

Yeah, they do
If bots edit messages in groups, the edited flag does not appear.
In channels, I think 🤔
