If I bought something on crypto.com and sold it on

crypto.com for profit, isn’t that income? Or are you saying capital gains from trading profits just aren’t counted.

It depends, consult a local accountant because this varies from country to country and state to state as well in USA... I believe there's a limit to which is "to low to tax" on both instances though
