API?
There's something weird going on in it. Bots receives an invalid message_thread_id parameter when the user replies to a Bot's message in General topic of any Forum. Hence replying to the message_thread_id will fail with status 400 - "Bad Request: message thread not found".
If I'd need to guess and it's actually a bug, contact @botsupport If it's not a bug, some admin of any other person with enough knowledge will tell you how to handle that case
First of all, telegram has an open-source repository on GitHub for the Telegram Bot API. You can check if the issue you are facing has already been reported by searching through the existing issues. If not, you can create a new issue there. The repository can be found at: https://github.com/TelegramBots/Telegram.Bot
Okay, I already know how to handle the error, but this is actually a bug...
May be you can try it yourself and see non-existent thread ids being sent in message updates when user "replies" to a bot's message in Genral topic...
Oh thankss! Is this official repo? Just a .NET client for Bot API?
Yes it's official. It is developed and maintained by the Telegram Bots team
Perfect, thankss
It’s not a bug. A reply to another message is a thread itself.
That’s wrong, there are no official libraries made by Telegram.
This repo is not official and not managed by Telegram.
"there are no official libraries made by Telegram" That statement on its own is not true. tdlib is an official, telegram maintained mtproto library.
That’s a fair point ahahhah
gpt gives wrong link not my fault
Don't use gpt to give answers 😐. I assume you still got a brain, please use it instead of relying on gpt.
No actually please understand I asked gpt for link only
It can be pretty useful for simple things with explanations
It can be useful to get an idea of a concept. It can be your starting point but eventually currently it often leads to more work in the professional world because you always need to fact check / correct the answers. GPT eventually only calculates the most probable words to a given question. There is absolutely no "knowledge" or whatsoever behind it. That's why it's making so many mistakes. It's not a general AI, It's a text probability AI that works astonishingly well to generate text.
Totally agree, complex things and even niche topics are off the table
Few months ago some lawyers decided to use it in court to generate legal defense case, it cited non existing cases 😂 the lawyers didn't bother to double check and as the result were suspended from practice 😂
