I just traded some USDC for ETH on the main

page of Curve. I thought it would go thru the Tricrypto pool. Instead, I see the transaction getting turned into Tether, and then into Compound USDC and then back into Tether and then into Wrapped ETH and then into ETH in my wallet and at some point it collects a COMP reward but that didn't hit my wallet. Meanwhile, the transaction used quite a bit of gas. Is this how it's supposed to work?

Really I'm asking about the routing. I *thought* it would be a straightforward exchange from tri-crypto. instead it's a complex transaction involving Compound Finance and claiming Comp rewards. Very odd.

Has the issues been resolved?

the transaction is done. nothing to resolve. I just haven't seen a tri-crypto trade before. This one was particularly convoluted.

best is to go straight to Tricrypto pool because the current router has not been updated with many new pools lately, it’s on the backburner of things to fix unfortunately

Now that makes sense! As usual, Kendrick, you explain the details like nobody else. Thanks for this!
