There are benefits to being based on Ubuntu surely?
What's the confusion? Two files, do two different things. one is for hard-wiring hostname to IP on your machine, the other defines which DNS servers you use.
Does pop give you a recovery on clean installs ? Not just hardware you buy from s76?
Anything else you enjoy or would recommend pop for, other than the theme and Nvidia?
some are platform specific?
What good would that do?
