I don’t think shortening the blocktimes will make centralised businesses up the conf time 10x, if that was the case why aren’t they doing it to coins like doge, ltc, xmr etc. ...

For example, if that was the case, why don’t they require 100x the conf times for BCH as opposed to BTC since BCH has 1% of the hash BTC has?
