change the nodes then
Blockchain is not the same as a regular app or operating system. If you do not update your wallet for some time, the chances are high that your wallet is not talking to the correct network anymore. You need to be up to date and fully synchronized when you want to move coins and if you do not update, you may end up on the wrong chain. If this happens, you will need to redownload the blockchain with the latest wallet software. It's not a huge problem, but very annoying since it takes 5+ hours. NB. Force closing the wallet, may corrupt the blockchain and may need the same procedure described below. Redownloading blockchain on Windows: - Close your wallet - Press Windows+R - Type %appdata%\Raven and press enter - In that folder delete everything BUT NOT WALLET.DAT(!!!) (if you rather do not delete stuff, just put it in a different folder) - Make a copy of wallet.dat and store it somewhere safe. Your keys are in there. - Open your wallet again. It will download the chain from the start. Mac users: Replace step 2 and 3 by - Press CMD+SHIFT+G - Type ~/Library/Application Support/Raven and press enter Linux users: Replace step 2 and 3 by - Open a terminal - Type cd ~/.raven and press enter - I will assume you know your way around the terminal to continue. Optional: - Add some good nodes: go to help > debug window > console, and type: addnode 52.87.228.81:8767 add addnode 145.239.0.130:8767 add addnode 35.166.222.70:8767 add Correct response from the wallet will be "null" I picked those nodes from <https://www.ravennodes.com/nodes/> *And do yourself a favor by encrypting your wallet with a good password. I've seen too many people loosing their coins because they opened the door to hackers with closed source software.*
