superior because over time the value of Monero will decreases because there are so many. Its like diamonds. Why are diamonds so valuable? Because they are rare
To be fair, it's controlled though. They want to keep an incentive for miners. 1% inflation/year. Just want to clarify it's not the same as the US govt randomly printing that trillion dollar bill.
this isn't really relevant though. For XMR to double to 36 million it will take 114 years. at 432 XMR per day inflation @ .6 XMR every 2 mins. 36 million is still far less than 200 million ARRR. and in 114 years who cares? If XMR is a thing in 114 years and has 36 million total supply that is nothing. I say this just to make things more realistic. "Infinite supply" is a far cry from reality. ARRR's benefits are its tech, not its "limited supply". Just saying.
that's the same thing the Federal Reserve said back when it started
Come on... thats not an apples to apples comparison
inflation is inflaion....
Are you saying that consensus can cause them to make tons more XMR but not ARRR?
Diamonds aren't rare. They are purposely limited in supply by Debeers, and marketed as rare.
