heyo, I think twice now I leave limit orders on Kyber.. and they don't get executed, even after it becomes a profitable arb for people to fill them 🤔 maybe you guys should look into it or make it more visible to users.

yeah, so I set up a limit order on the platform, for hypothetical example sell eth for usdc at 3000 usdc per eth. This is when the price is only 2950. I see the order is registered accurately and shows up as an open order, showing the correct amount I would get in exchange, so I know I haven't entered the price wrongly. Despite this, when the price goes up to 3050, for example, and stays there, my limit order still doesn't get filled, even though it would be profitable for anyone to buy my eth for 3000 and immediately resell at market for 3050. But it doesn't get filled at 3000, so in stead I just cancel it and sell at market myself.

The limit order isn't fixed to fill immediately your price is achieved, the limit order acts as a liquidity source for our aggregator and if there's no taker for your order at that price, your order won't get filled.

Lets say my liquidity is for LDO or some other decent size altcoin but which conceivably might not have been traded for several hours via Kyberswap. Some users wants to buy Eth with USDT. Usually they will receive a suggested route that could involve swapping their usdt to usdc first, or something else, maybe the route will involve several dexes too. Would it be correct to say their route might involve my limit order for LDO on Kyberswap and swapping it to ETH (their end goal) elsewhere, or do limit orders on Kyberswap only get filled as parts of direct routes, or at least where the final or initial coins match, ie can't be just the middle of the route.

Like I mentioned earlier KyberSwap Limit Orders has been integrated as an additional liquidity source on the KyberSwap Aggregator. This means that swaps via the Aggregator will also be routed through active limit orders which effectively increases the pool of potential takers for a limit order. So, If your liquidity pair is not for the traded pair it won't be used or taken by a taker.
