I mean Blackrock are not financial infrastructure operators, this is just one of their many funds. SWIFT/DTCC/Euroclear etc run all the physical infra that makes up majority of the all the global tx throughout the West/further But in terms of what goes into production first, who knows, id guess the first thing for someone like SWIFT would just be extending their network to provide abstracted access to the web3 ecosystem, as opposed to immediately running significant workloads over DLT, but who knows because we only have partial info on the private ledger infra their partners are building etc
hey drake. blackrock runs aladdin which can be considered sort of financial infra similar to dtcc ctm/alert. it's a risk management solution that also provides order management via fix and supports electronic trade confirmations. simply through the sheer size of blackrock and the rm quality of this software platform, it is used by a lot of the biggest asset managers and pretty much something you gonna have to support as a broker. but yeah blackrock doesn't run the kind of financial market infrastructure as csds such as dtc/fedwire do or icsds like euroclear/clearstream as you rightly point out.
Thanks for the correction
