According to Coinbase’s FAQ they stop supporting BCH in their

wallet for sending/receiving due to “low usage” starting febr ‘23. Via their wallet app you get an ‘asset not found’ when you search for bch😳. In my opinion exchanges should support the crypto that they offer. What’s your experience?

Yes it would be nice if their wallet still had BCH but its not a very popular wallet anyway. The exchange still supports BCH though. I wonder what other coins their wallet supports that have lower mcap. Do they PAY them to be included?

Yeah, the exchange still offers it. But for some regions they disabled the ‘send’ button -KYC policy- so after you bought it, you almost feel 🍯 because you can’t move it elsewhere. Almost had that same Pay-assumption😅 luckily there are better wallets.

iirc cb wallet dropped all non-evm assets with the exception of btc and maybe a couple other things. the low usage thing was just an excuse, they really went all-in evm and didn't want to pay engineer to maintain anything else is the real reason.

This is why bch is building a totally separate ecosystem

The BU team very publicly did a fund raiser to get their coin listed. So, yeah, that's a thing. Not saying that's what happened here, I'm uname's story sounds quite plausible in light of their coinbase pos solution only having ETH solutions
