Can someone explain to me how metamask gets hacked? Is

it key logging, or fake site or what? Like how could that big of a whale be hacked?

Metamask is a hot wallet that's online any time you are. The only protection from anyone that has access to your computer and therefore your Crypto stored there is your Metamask password. t's trivial for malware to capture your Metamask password with a key logger giving the hacker access to your wallet and seed phrase. That's why storing any amount of Crypto in a hot wallet like Metamask is a bad idea and very risky. You usually only find out once it's too late.

Just cause it had a lot of money doesn’t mean it was owned b someone with experience. Someone in the pulse chat said there’s a message going around saying “for security metamask wallets need to be verified by Friday or frozen”…links you to a fake metamask site to input your seed. You complete verification, 5 minutes later it’s all gone

When stakes mature and you mint new Hex should also be sent to hardware wallet. Then you can restake or whatever from there. Much more secure

90% of it is people just phishing for seeds and those people willing to give them away. There's surprising little "hacking" that goes on.

correct yes ... more than 90% I'd say _i'm sure we had this conversation a few days ago.... malware is far from the most common attack - but it IS possible and does happen.
