Hi everybody. Learned a lot about Telos today and wow

I am impressed! After a while day of research I could not find any cons but a lot of reasons to buy in. Could somebody please be so kind and share his/her thoughts (not too biased) about pros and cons compared to Matic, Solana and other competitors? Especially cons? Thanks

If you want a project that embodies the ethos of early cryptocurrency ideas and is still on the forefront / leading the technology race in crypto - then telos is a great project to align with

This is what I mean, I was almost not able to find any cons. Somehow weird and great at the same time. How did the team solve the Blockchain trilemma? Seems Telos is performing so much better compared with Solana and Matic (and others)

The answer would probably be related to the underlying # of active nodes - which isn’t as high as some others. So this would be a personal preference in terms of what level of decentralization you want as a user. ultimately, the cons I mentioned are real cons - it’s been a tough road making things happen with low budgets and limited exchanges for years, but we have made giant progress and really are going to have a huge 2022 and 2023. I have been part of the community for 3 years and work at the Telos Foundation, so I am telos biased. Hopefully I painted an somewhat fair picture though.

A con is that we don’t have the budget of these other projects yet - not on as many exchanges Pros - great governance engine and community driven decisions - scalable validator pay models (price goes up, amount of telos paid goes down) - telos has never been down in 3 years - evm is extremely fast and inexpensive - the core teams working on telos are extremely dedicated and worked for years with very very little pay - token distribution is very wide (not a single team or person or VC holding tons of coins) - no VCs - ESG forward - friendly and awesome community - staking rewards of 13% roi risk free - it’s early days, we have so much coming
