Why new token? Why not use tlos everywhere

This is what some bridges do right now, but again it’s a bridge and comes with smart contract risks. If we want a token to use the liquidity & security that ETH provides, we need a token locally deployed there, only then the larger ETH ecosystem “feels safe”. Unfortunately, this is the way the industry works and if we want to move ahead, we have to adjust our strategy accordingly. I would have loved having Tlos token do everything, but I understand that the Dev team has Tlos too and yet, have come up with this “potential” solution, so they may thought it out. Again, most things are TBD as many others have mentioned

Not that i oppose this as a fresh start of sorts but What would you all like to tweak that can not be tweaked on telos? More or less decentralized?

Telos governance/BPs currently control the supply of the token. Minting/burning is done on the current network. If you have a new L2 network on Ethereum, or a decentralized zk proof aggregation system, or a gaming side chain... these things need to be able to control their own destiny as well, else you are limiting their potential.

I hope this is just simple logic for everyone to understand... the Telos ecosystem can still see incredible beneifts from what's being born out of it. Specifically.. Attention, if Telos and it's partners build one of the most powerful new zkEVMs on Ethereum using a hardware/software codeisgn, heads will turn, eyes will see us. Development resources, reusable things, etc... like the zkEVM we are talking about here could become the main ingredient in TelosEVM side chains, blockchain as a service. SNARKtor can become a zk scaling solution for the entire industry, of course Telos is the flagship chain and leads that charge, bringing back to point 1 of attention. Lots more, but nobody involved wants more than the Telos ecosystem to reach it's ultimate potential.

That's a real possibility, there's a lot of angles to consider and much of it is based on unknowns for now... so speculation at best.
