Just read the new proposal this morning. So pointless for

delegators. Collators are collators because of delegators. If my collator is not performing well then why I have to get penalized for a week without any rewards? I would rather single side staking and unstake instantly without waiting a week. How it is decentralisation? If there is no rewards then unbounding period should be less than a week at least so we don't suffer a lot.

Do not forget that on Polkadot & Kusama revoke takes 28-7 days and you do not receive rewards during this period. This is required for the stability of the collators, the collators will not fly out of the active set so often. Thus, the delegators will not be at constant risk that the collator will be knocked out of the active set and will not generate rewards. We don't have collators with bad performance

Maybe I was the unlocky one who unbounded several times. Will choose carefully next time.

On top of what correctly stated by Turrizt please consider that one of the porposal of change that Foundation will for sure consider in the future is about the revision of the 7 days period (making it a bit shorter). This will rebalance indeed the scenario if you think about it, providing more stability to all the system (I mean the combination of "no rewards during unstaking" + "less than 7 days for unstaking") 👍

What is 28-7 days?

It takes 28/7 days to revoke in Polkadot and Kusama

Hey, community collators are the initial collators who were selected by the Moonbeam Foundation for excellent performance in the Moonbase alpha & Moonriver networks. I respect your collator, and I don't think it's any different, it says more here that there are whale collators that control several nodes 2-4, which prevents collators with limited funds from being in an active set. Many initial collaborators develop various tools for tracking delegations, which helps a lot for comfortable staking

Thank you, indeed there are some whale collators, but it's nice to see interest from big investors like Bitcoinswiss or Binance show the institutional demand, which is a good indicator for a project , and I hope there will be fewer concerns like this as the list of nodes once expanded,in the near future…

Yes, I agree. I think that an even bigger problem will disappear when the delegators stop receiving rewards during the revoke period, since the whales will no longer constantly do revoke, and expose the collators to the risk of being knocked out of the active set. I think that in the near future, the Moonbeam Foundation's collator program will start working, which should also help collators and delegators

Yes dear .. dont you think the definition should now extend and cover to People driven movements and assimilate within it's scope other intangible activities that funnel and retain a investor under Moonbeam umbrella.
