Hi Daniel. Casper is a proof of stake blockchain.
I have some other questions. If you could answer them I would really appreciate it. (1) Is Casper a third generation blockchain? (2) Is Casper a layer 1 blockchain? (3) What’s the average Tx fee of Casper Network? (4) Whats the number of nodes of Casper? I think 100 but I am not sure (5) How often is a new block generated in Casper? (6) How many transactions per second (TPS) is Casper capable of supporting? For example, Bitcoin around 7 TPS, Ethereum around 15-30 TPS, Solana around 50 000 TPS, etc (7) what’s the safety threshold of Casper? For example, safety threshold of Bitcoin or Ethereum with their PoW is 51%, Polkadot 33% or Avalanche 80% parametrized
Ok Daniel. Please give me a moment and I will get back to on these.
No problem hahahaha. Thank you in advance
I can't answer all of the but aa few: 1. no idea what you mean 😉 2. Yes, it is a Layer 1 blockchain 3. Very low... I think 0.1 CSPR but it can be adjusted in the future if it makes sense AFAIK 4. Currently it's capped at 100 validating nodes, archive nodes and for RPC calls/dApps can be added though 5. Currently every ~32.7s 6. TPS is a complicated thing... Solanas TPS is cheating a bit since they also count gossipping and node/network communication TXs, Casper counts finalized TXs as TPS -> message of a Casper Engineer: https://t.me/casperblockchain/598579 7. Not sure but 2/3 aka 67% of validators need to agree on upgrades for example.
