Remember initially these extra kava aren't on the market effecting the price, but a slow release over 4 years The gamble is that the extra TVL attracted to the Kava network will indirectly increase the token price despite the extra supply. It's too early to know if if is a good or bad gamble. I suspect the performance of the whole crypto market will have more effect than any change to the total supply.

So Invest in kava is a gamble ?

What I am saying is that Scott and the team made a decision what they feel will benefit the kava network and kava token and despite a higher total supply feel that if they can get close to their target of becoming a top 5 Level 1 blockchain measured in TVL and number of protocols then the market price will have grown sufficiently that the kava token price is also higher (there is evidence that marketcap and TVL are correlated to sone degree). Only time will tell if their decision to focus on begining a leading Level 1 was a good move. If the incentives aren't providing the growth expected they could be scaled back and excess tokens burned
