Kaspa and Kadena are totally different.

“Battle of DAG PoW chains Kaspa vs. Kadena - Both solve the trilemma - Both are L1 chains - Both have many bag holders - Both are listed in big exchanges - 70% Kas mined in under 12 months - 24% Kda mined in 3 years “ Sounds identical

On the surface maybe

It’s crypto most people only want the surface 😂

Yes, why?

good for you. As an investor I don’t care if it’s cobol or rust

What language is used for smart contracts on kaspa...

Kaspa has no smart contracts...But Kadena does..language is called PACT

so kas is a PoW DAG bad copy of kadena and doesn’t even support smart contracts like kadena

It is almost identical to the Bitcoin Script currently. With it you can do things that are not too complex in terms of programmability. However, the actual Smart Contracts will arrive in due course

It doesn't seem to me that ChainWeb can be defined as a real DAG. However, each has pros and cons

Is it finished?

i don´t know...but Yonatan said they decide to change to rust because they discovered with the other language kas would have difficult with scalability

Kaspa change recently to Rust

This only applies to Kaspa itself, not to dApps and DeFi in general. For that there are Scripts as in Bitcoin; then surely things could change after Hard Forking Rustland with DAGKnight. It will probably also be necessary to add scalability solutions such as ZK-STAKS, a new ring signatures system, something analogous to Taproot and Hydra Network (with specific L3). This is to greatly facilitate things with Smart Contracts etc. (but this is just my opinion)

it won't have smart contracts. Its just not feasible to bolt it on if you don't do any planning in advance and the focus on producing blocks as fast as possible makes it even less feasible at every turn

I'm currently looking out for Cardano's Hydra. I'd totally see this L2 solution for that.

kadena's blocktime has been chosen with great care and planning in advance to allow for truly decentralized execution of advanced smart contract functionality, preserving security and throughput in a scalable way. you can probably increase the speed of the base layer with minor ways. but not with magnitudes before compromising on one of the 3 points of the infamous trilemma: security, scalability, decentralization

MetaMask and TrustWallet aren't supported! Kadena has its own blockchain so doesn't have a contract address as such. You can obtain it from CoinMetro.com / Binance.com / KuCoin.com / Gate.io / Okx.com (and other exchanges listed here: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/kadena#markets)
