hosted a call exploring how Eigenlayer's pioneering restaking protocol could work with Cartesi Compute 👇

What is Eigenlayer? EigenLayer is a “restaking” protocol. It lets users use already-staked ETH and liquid staking tokens to secure other applications and earn additional fees.

Through restaking, EigenLayer can power up key infrastructure applications ranging from bridges to MEV managers. A restaking using computation oracle like Cartesi Compute is definitely one of them.

In fact, EigenLayer could be great for the Cartesi ecosystem. Why?

Let’s break this down.

🔐Increased security: With EigenLayer, Cartesi Compute would be secured with extra-economic security coming from the inflow of staked ETH. There could also be added incentives for being Cartesi Compute’s Claim and Challenger nodes for Eigenlayer Operators.

🛡️Risk management: EigenLayer has planned to develop a dashboard for services built on top (Actively Validated Services, or AVS). This could help users of Cartesi Compute have transparent information about how liquid and safe its operations are.

🌐Wider Cartesi reach There could be a lot of overlap between the Cartesi and the EigenLayer communities. There could also be a lot of people in the EigenLayer community who would be new to Cartesi and find it very useful.

🥇First-mover advantage: EigenLayer is still very new and there aren’t that many services built on top yet. Cartesi Compute has the opportunity to become a widely adopted solution for computational oracle service within the EigenLayer community.
