Hi Boiko, At present, the main utility of CTSI is in governance. Nevertheless, Sunodo is a separate project dedicated to establishing an additional utility for CTSI beyond Cartesi. Learn more about how they are enhancing the token utility here: https://x.com/sunodoproject/status/1759578710599241986
What about staking on mainnet?
You can stake CTSI on Ethereum through the Cartesi explorer here; https://explorer.cartesi.io/stake Also check out this guide here https://docs.cartesi.io/earn-ctsi/staking/ If you need a video tutorial, let me know!
I don’t want to stake on Erhereum When mainnet then?
You stake on Ethereum
Cartesi is Mainnet ready, as evidenced by the launch of the Honeypot DApp - the first app-specific Cartesi Rollup DApp to launch on Ethereum. Cartesi was never designed to be a layer 1 protocol. Cartesi rollups are an application-specific execution environment that can be deployed as a layer 2 or layer 3. It is not a layer 1 blockchain or DApp, which means the concept of the mainnet launch for Cartesi differs from the traditional concept of a mainnet launch. What will actually go to the mainnet are DApps built using Cartesi. I hope this provides some clarification.
When this will happen?
So you are different from other L2 such as matic or arb? Lack of utility for ctsi is bothering me a lot
We prioritize the development of application-specific rollups, offering a distinctive and innovative approach within the blockchain domain. Unlike platforms such as Matic or Arbitrum that utilize shared rollups, our technology enables each dApp to operate on its own dedicated rollup. This approach significantly improves scalability and efficiency by eliminating the competition for processing power commonly seen in shared environments. Additionally, our integration of a Linux runtime within Cartesi Rollups opens avenues for more intricate and computationally intensive blockchain applications, which are currently unfeasible on traditional Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) chains. For a comprehensive insight into Cartesi's technology and its impact on blockchain scalability, please explore our detailed articles below; https://cartesi.io/blog/understanding-cartesi-rollups/ https://cartesi.io/blog/understanding-cartesi-rollups-pt2/
But ctsi token is out of this process? Why people should consider to buy it?
Hi, be sure to be live for the next Dev Recap Call coming up on April 8th to ask any questions you might have to the tech unit. You can set up a reminder over on Discord - https://discord.gg/NW6QzA6DSB
I won’t be available, can someone answer in simple language, for example next week, next month etc?
As the ecosystem grows and the technological infrastructure matures, there is the possibility of integrating additional functionalities into the CTSI token in the future, including governance or other areas. Our community will be promptly informed of any developments. As previously stated, Sunodo is already committed to adding additional utility.
Honestly I am with cartesi very long time, but this sounds not good
Zero utility for token right now, zero reasons to buy it
you got a point but also you can miss a good chance
Please tell us how many DApps have been built using Cartesi? Thank you!
The Honeypot is currently the only dApp built with Cartesi Rollups live on Ethereum mainnet. To get familiar with the Honeypot, here are 2 blogs where you can read all about it: https://cartesi.io/blog/introducing-honeypot/ https://cartesi.io/blog/honeypot-deep-dive/ There are currently other dApps that are fast advancing towards mainnet as well. The RollupLab page is accessible from the website. You just need to go to the Developers section in the top bar menu and click on Built with Cartesi. And here are a couple of links for you to test out: https://rives.io/cartridges https://dinder-staging.cloud.aetheras.io/game/index.html
Please explain further: What is the main purpose of the Cartesi project?
@BBBseven, please read up on this. Thanks!
Tobi, what is meant by “stable release”, proof of concept” phase?
In the context of dapp development, a stable release refers to a version of the dapp that is deemed to be reliable, functional, and free from critical bugs or issues. It represents a stage in the development process where the dapp has undergone some level of refinement. The PoC refers to a demonstration or prototype that showcases the feasibility and basic functionality of a dapp idea or concept. It is the initial stage in the development process where developers aim to validate their ideas and determine if they are technically feasible before investing significant time and resources into a full-scale development. I hope this provides a certain level of clarification.
I have read these documents before and in the past you also often announced Cartesi as the first operating system on the blockchain, an infrastructure for developers to build their DApps. Unfortunately, after 3 years, there is only 01 DApp built by you guys. So the Cartesi project still has no customers
There are many more dApps built with Cartesi. Here you have some more examples. And see many new submissions in the Spotlight channel. https://l2beat.com/scaling/projects/bugless https://dca.monster/ dev.bubblewars.io The ability to go on mainnet immediately is not necessarily technical. It also depends on the builder's strategy of having everything in place to launch from a business development point of view and start acquiring users. Are you joining tomorrow to have the chance to ask any questions directly to the Bubblewars builder?
No, I'm not participating tomorrow. Do you still cooperate with SotaTeK?
Cartesi is a decentralized project, the term 'partnerships' is a bit vague, as anyone can contribute and use open source technology, eventually becoming a 'partner' without anyone's approval. Please join our Discord to discover what everyone is working on. This is the Development Community where all Cartesi contributors and grantees coordinate and build publicly. In the 'core-units-updates' channel, you will find the latest updates from all technical units.
Same use cases as other L2s like OP and ARB which currently have $13 Billion + FDV’s.
