Yeah good point. there's 100B Anvil tokens minted at launch, there will be 100B minus total staked (# of AMP tokens staked at snapshot) that wont be circulated until vesting starts. Unsure who will have custody of the rest that will be in circulation initially though.

I wonder if the team will sell some at launch to create a market otherwise it sounds like diamond hands until June 2025 and very few tokens will be in circulation

Anvil will be for sale when they launch the token after the snapshot date. They say Anvil team will not sell it meaning they will not do any presales or any sort to raise money. Once token is launched anyone can buy in the open market.
