Really, they don't have to wait that long. Unconfirmed transactions are mostly not a problem, but money - money trades like exchanges and giftcard providers who are attacked all the time, can reasonably require one or two confirmations (20 min on average). I don't think anybody can point to even a single transaction having achieved 1 conf ever has been reversed. Zero conf is a bit different, but you need to take a big risk and often conspire with a miner, and it is costly. For a tx of a few BCH it is just not profitable. In this arena, we are far far ahead of BTC

20 conf is just nonsense. I believe it was put up just before some expected split (we have had 3 split-offs, BTC, BSV and XEC), and it has been stuck since on some exchanges.

Where did you come to with these insane numbers? I'm pretty sure every one of them is drastically overkill, you can look at the cost to double spend at any given number of blocks and anything below that means double-spending would net a loss for the attacker. There are also DSPs for zero conf, and again, one can consider the cost of an attack, not just monetary, but reputational. Also, do you understand the 10 block checkpoints? An attacker managing to roll back 10 blocks is hardly fathomable at all, much less for less than a day's worth of block rewards.

Oh, yeah I forgot about the check points so 10 blocks it is. If one day all Sha miners come to BCH we will need to remove that checkpoint because it will no longer be needed and at that point 1 to 6 confirmations will be enough.

If you are an exchange you need to wait for more than 20 confirmations, if you are a regular citizen and below $1000 probably 6 is enough. Below $10 0 conf is ok. It is only if you are going to move over $100k that a double spend is possible and a 51% attack could be done to you as an individual probably you will need to wait 1 day.
