pump? It's counter productive because new users will see that you only care about the price and will expect you to dump on them.
However, the community behind ergo strongly believe in building the foundation and the core mechanics in giving the power to the people first. Building security and a platform. If you believe in the future of ergo, if you want to fight against censorship and totalitarianism, you would be praising ergo and would want to tell everyone. Its not about the price, but having total freedom of your funds - without the fear of your accounts getting frozen.
This is still very new tech, it will still be very new tech in 10 years. You know why? because we're trying to replace a system thats been set for hundreds of years.
I strongly believe that ergo will have its time to shine, and unfortunately I feel like it will happen when its the last resort. Majority of people are short sighted and dont care until its affecting them and when that happens, ergo will be here for them. It will have the systems in place, it will become even more accessible than it is today. You could say we're the early adopters, because we have so much work to do before its ready for world wide adoption. So instead of focusing on the price, let's put our heads together and brain storm how to make ergo efficient and effective for real life applications.
Hire a designer to make dapps and wallets look sexy?
[lim1t] I agree with you, shiny attractive stuff appeals to people. Now, I'm not a UX dev/designer, if I was I would contribute to the project as such. but you got to have a working, reliable system in place before you make it look pretty, Because it doesnt matter how pretty it looks, if it doesn't work, you've lost the user. I'm not saying ergo isn't reliable but it is still very early in development.
[lim1t] Haha..yeaaaah. Just thinking about it, doesn't matter if it works or not. if its shiny they want it. Sad truth.
This is very true. I would personally not touch a cryptocurrency where community is mostly obsessed with pricing (ie toxic desire to dump on newcomers). That is why I am not hoarding Bitcoin anymore after ETFing , not following anymore some Proof-of-Work cryptocurrencies promoted hard by some toxic shillers in the lounge zone etc. The goals and problematics of peer-to-peer digital currencies are still the same as in 2011. That is, how to create p2p financial instruments which do have positive real world impact. And a community focused on that would be blessed.
Different people have different expectations. Reality is the world is poor. People think money will solve their problems longterm. For my granddad money was a way to get new machines for his farm, for my dad new tools for his mechanical maintenance job. For me to read and educate myself, and prepare a ground for my kid to have better life.... Absolutely crazy how much people are obsessed with money and selfishness. Minds, hearts and souls are poor and empty, so let's fill our wallets with money to become rich. Read one great thing summarizing a way to live life. Goes something like this "Whatever you do in life for yourself will die with you, whatever you do for others will live forever". One day everyone will drive Lambo and still be miserable
I agree with your opinion. There needs to be prosperity.
