Hey welcome! Syscoin could be explained to be a Bitcoin Layer 2 solution, merge-mined with Bitcoin, that enables scalable rollups by providing a modular Proof-of-Work blockchain. It features a dual-chain Layer 1: the UTXO chain for data availability and finality, and the NEVM chain, an EVM-compatible chain, both of which are merge-mined and share finality. Currently there is Rollux on top of Syscoin which is an Optimistic Rollup secured by Bitcoin thanks to Syscoin’s Bitcoin DA. Rollux will convert into zkRollux which will use zero knowledge technology, you can read about this in @readSidhuJag in X. If you want more info you can join Syscoin’s discord.
