dropped?

What would happen if nano is widely adopted and the amount of transactions a day increases to, idk, 500 million tx a day

It form a backlog it is like a queued

so, the TL;DR is this: In nano, if there is huge transaction demand, huge scale, you end up with a system where everyone has to wait and everyone has their transactions delayed for a week, a month, or whatever the maximum queue size is. (Or potentially dropped) And in other systems, we prioritze transactions based on fees

this prioritization is not necessary, if the nano has a real demand of 500 tps we would probably have larger companies running node and the network would scale

so what's the upper limit of scale?

the entire network is basically limited by processing and bandwidth

well yes, that's the point
