100%. Most cryptos have weekly updates
why did community updates stopped being released? i mean even tiny details like in one which they said they built on-house oracles is cool to know and something theres no harm in releasing publicly imo the best way is to release articles saying what have they done though not necessarily giving away the details updates like: what will appear at Wave 2, the progress on the marketplace, progress on the NFT standard, if there are teams utilizing the SDK rn, etc. Updates without necessarily saying how they specifically work or whos involved
Good suggestion
Thanks for the feedback! We are working on our next community update and will continue to release them when it makes sense to do so. We want to ensure that we’re giving you guys valuable updates instead of recapping the previous month’s announcements for the sake of it. The difference is because Ultra Chill is released every 2 weeks, it allows us to communicate with you guys about different aspects of the project on a regular basis. Due to the regularity of the podcast, our community updates will focus on shedding light on our progress, whats on the horizon (when applicable), any internal updates, and a quick recap of our announcements for those who missed them 🙂
There is a comprehensive marketing campaign in place for each stage of the closed beta, open beta, and official launch of the platform. We are working behind the scenes with top brands/ AAA game devs within the gaming space to ensure the platform is well advertised to players globally ahead of the public launch. You can expect game announcements, brand partnerships, influencers, and other things to be initiated over the next few months, which will continue throughout the year and well into next year. As you can imagine, timing is very important when it comes to marketing an upcoming project and we've spent a lot of time designing a well rounded marketing plan to position Ultra at the forefront of the communities we need to target. Rest assured, we will be working with influencers, leveraging the referral program, and rolling out an ambassador program to assist in this aspect too! Its a bit of a departure from this message posted a few months ago but obvioulsy things change/take time. Is any or all of this older message still applicale in the coming months?
I don't believe that with over 70 employees, Ultra is not able to release weekly valuable updates. It just makes no sense. Other teams are doing it with much smaller projects and teams.
Weekly! I question how valuable weekly updates would be...
It’s not that we’re unable to release valuable updates. The Ultra team have been working hard for years to build what we’re building and we’re designing something that hasn’t been done before. We release valuable updates when the time is right as explained previously by David, Nicolas, and Rami 🙂
Elrond and Cudos does it and its amazing. Surely more technical but still valuable, and keep us updated
Clearly but the point here is that the community is requesting more updates. If your point is that you only update when the time is right, we would disagree on what that even means.
Bill’s still sour about Theta.
Why sour about theta ?
I’m going to be honest here because it’s doing a disservice not to be. The main reason people are anxious for updates is because trust in what is being/ has been communicated to us, about Ultra’s capabilities and release, is severely degrading. Ultra has been advertising their “release” since 2018 and it’s been most recently pushed to EOY. I don’t believe Ultra has actually hit any of their milestones even close to their original dates or developed any released features even close to their claimed capabilities. Every time Ultra doesn’t deliver and every time something isn’t up to expectations, people lose their trust and goodwill in the company’s integrity and ability. It’s just how confidence works. I think the old saying adjusted for crypto is; Fool me once, hodl. Fool me twice, hodl. Fool me 20 times, shame on me. Ultra’s word has been devaluing through the years like a hyperinflating currency. People aren’t really buying anything the team is saying anymore and want some assurance that it is coming out this year to a non trivial number of people and that it will have the capabilities that were described to them.
+1 I've been holding ultra for 3 years, have consistently given them the benefit of the doubt when they've delayed, but the disparity between what is claimed and what has been publicly delivered is getting very disappointing.
Why did you delete your first reply and just go with "+1" lmao.
I'm trying to observe more and say less despite my frustrations
Yeah but you already said it though 😂 Don't worry about the team, i think they are capable of handling this and nobody is attacking them. Just saying how it is, nothing wrong with being assertive.
Personally I would feel a lot better if hard dates were given for certain milestones instead of ‘soon’. We got told soon over a year ago.
Yes but this is not useful/realistic, many projects use fluid roadmaps nowadays because they figured out hard dates don't work
I know, I just don't know what I'm adding that's constructive, my sentiments are well know at this point, I've witnessed this project for long enough to know what I've gotten in to...
