Whats the mechanism for claiming ?
like claiming, timing etc
The interface to claim rewards will be available when the interface to onboard is available. Genesis hasn't happened yet so in my opinion (I don't work for Polymath) it's unlikely mainnet will be publicly accessible on Wednesday, assuming genesis only happens then. After genesis I expect there to be a minimum of a week (probably longer) of configuration and onboarding operators and CDD providers, configuring the Ethereum bridge, releasing updates to wallet browser extension, dashboards, explorer etc to support the new chains (new testnet and new mainnet both to be configured). Then people will need to go through KYC to onboard before they can claim ITN rewards and bridge tokens. I would suggest you check back on Wednesday to see if there is more information about when you will be able to claim rewards. Then after mainnet launches it is likely to be a couple of months before an exchange supports POLYX so if you are not content to keep staking your reward you'll still need to wait before they can be sold. (along with a 28day unbond period before you can transfer)
Any official information to back this up? Or just speculation?
Just my informed opinion. These things can't all happen until after genesis and will take time to complete.
I meant how do you know that Genesis block hasn't happened yet?
Ah, because it's not being shown on the stats page. The new testnet appears to have had it's genesis on Friday. Also work on GitHub would suggest there are more pull requests to be merged. The current latest release is still market as a "Release Candidate" if it was live I would expect that would have ve changed to an official release.
I hope it won't break shortly after launch. 🤞
