You can stake directly by running your own node and the tutorial is here: https://medium.com/cartesi/running-a-node-and-staking-42523863970e, So the more you stake or the lower the globally staked CTSI is, your chances get higher and you are more likely to produce fast, while the opposite makes it more likely to take longer to produce. For current APY, please check: https://explorer.cartesi.io/ About the APY, we are developing tools to show historical data so users can have a grasp on past performances and make more educated decisions. We retired the calculator as it was causing a lot of confusion with multiple users and that it would get even more complicated with the pools use case. The other option available right now is staking through a 3rd party custodian service. They work like centralized pools and have their own set of rules and policies for rewards and conditions on staking. You can check CoinOne and MyContainer as options in that model.
