just seems like theft
Think of the extra $250 as the fee to access a coin at IDO price
A $250 fee to access $250 worth of a coin? This might make sense in a totally delusional, manic bull market, but how can anyone think that is a reasonable long-term proposition?
I think it makes more sense to think about it as though the price of the IDO you are getting $250 on has increased to $500 due to the popularity of that specific pool
How does it depend on popularity? Isn't that the flat fee for every IDO?
I think they are only talking about the allocation... the way I look at it, the pool is oversubscribed.... 100K allocation and 200K orn submitted.... don't see you will lose your orn...
No, most investments you get exactly the amount you put in. e.g., for other IDOs, you pay $500 worth of, say, USDT, and you get $500 worth of the coin you invested in. That has risk, sure, but you don't LOSE $250 to get $250 worth of the coin
Even if you choose not to partake in the IDO’s, you could you also think about the ways this will benefit you as an ORN holder
We are focusing on the negative side… could the allocation actually end up being higher than the $ of ORN used since its dynamic? I think, yes?
yeah alot of IDO's can 2-10x+ very quickly
Honestly, it's great how they have done it, it means that if someone wants to participate in an IDO he/she has to pay the price, it makes sense, as normally it's so easy to do a 10x with an IDO project it's just ridiculous
