partnership with helios came to an end please?

Sure, the cooperation between Orion and Helios ended because he was not happy that the dev team that was assigned to the difficult task of using his (beautiful) designs to revamp the terminal had put together a “beta build” of the terminal redesign and wasn’t a full “from the ground up” build. Indeed, it was only a beta, but as an artist would feel, he felt as though his work was not done justice. A call was scheduled for this morning but Helios went to post negative messages about Orion and some of the team in a public forum. This is clearly prohibited when working with any company. When approached about the messages, even though it was made clear that we are fans of his work, he chose to block some of us. It’s no love lost, we have the great work that he’s provided thus far and it’s not quite difficult to find a new designer that we can work with in a manner that’s more fitting to our culture and work environment. I wish absolutely nothing but the very BEST to Helios and the Helios community. I’m such a fan I’ve even connected Helios with work from other colleagues that have projects that needed work done. Despite not agreeing with how we’ve been treated in this situation, I’ll always be a fan of good work and Helios is top notch. It’s a shame it didn’t work out but always the best to him!

Hey Kal, can you please elaborate why a extra dev team was developing a beta redesign of the current terminal while helios was coding the new one?

They were using his work to show him a beta of the advancements in the terminal. Helios isn’t proficient in the technical language and logic that’s needed to build out the entire terminal hence why he needs a team behind him.

In your honest opinion Kal…why after 1 year & depositless trading/one broker/few more coins and other bits…is the volume 50% of what it was before any of this even came out? From a business perspective is this not ringing alarms in the office, in any company crypto/non crypto this is a classic death spiral …interested what you personally think

Orion is building an industry first, a transformational technology. Things won't start buzzing overnight. Developments take time. Take for example, a transformational technology like the computer we are currently using, if you go back in history, you will see that it took time for it to be what it is right now, with all the road blocks and limitations it met while it was still being developed. Give orion time. It's not a meme project. It's an actual technology with real use case

No doubt and I’m with you…. But it still doesn’t add up that you can work on something for a year, adding new features and increasing the scope only to get 50% less usage as time goes by. Only 3 primary things can do this- 1) it’s just not needed by people and adoption curve is in reverse 2) it is needed but people just don’t know it (marketing) 3) the product itself isn’t good You can spin that “it takes times” till the cows come home, I’m a business operations manager for one of the world largest companies, I see a problem when I see one lol

No one doubts that. In any project like this, people are looking for a return on their investment. I've been in crypto since 2013. I can say that when I invested in this project when it was in the beginning, it seemed to me very promising. And now it is. I participated in ico a lot, but for the first time I encountered that I can't get my investment. I participated in waves where they gave me my tokens in 3-4 months, but in this project specifically it's been over 3 years and I still haven't received the orion coins as we were originally promised. I don't want to say you are bad, but what you are doing is discouraging a lot of people, think about it...

I only use it. I don’t use Binance or anything else. I hate the browser through MetaMask and often have to close it and restart. It takes a long time to load also. On my pc the terminal Works lovely. It’s quite expensive in my opinion also. I love the swap function.

Ok so when I log onto Orion from the mobile it takes quite a bit of time. Then when I move from say the gov tab to the trading terminal the chart doesn’t show up. At some times I had some buys and sells in and only a few of the. Showed up. Had to force close and open again and they reappeared. Each trade I’ve been making costs me about 1.5 ORN so 5 dollars or something. That’s quite a lot isn’t it if someone was making multiple trades?

I’ve used the terminal daily for like 6 months now. Tbh I hated it at the beginning. 4 different errors for a stupid trade. But all these things got solved. It has been a very smooth experience last couple months. Would love to see the dex’s integration tho

I don’t think it is the product as it does what it’s supposed to in its current form…per se. And I’m going to be truthful where I have a problem…one added broker, no added chains in what is supposed to be an all in one solution makes me uneasy as it’s been a year. What scares me Kal, and I have no doubt you have very smart people across the whole team, is if it’s this hard just to get FTM & Ascendex onboarded then how does the next year/2 years play out?

Well the thing is, it’s all new tech. No one is doing it. So I can’t say that it’s fair that someone can estimate that “it’s taking too long” when no one else has set a benchmark here
