2. So we know the bridge is working well, is unique and understandably something special to kick ass with. So why wait another 3 weeks til we launch?

Well it's all about the marketing vacuum now. Time to build the hype. Blow life into the count down. Create awareness and attention. This will aid in a much needed build up followed by much anticipation.

Use case and community participation is exciting enough, but by levering this 3 week vacuum, it gives the Marketing team time to plot, plan and execute the momentum required to get Orn in front of everyone. This time period is crucial in getting the word out there, which in turn will pull ongoing investment in. And ultimately, that's what we all want.

Time to spread the word!

3. Ok so, our bridge solution allows for the “most costly” parts of the decentralized trading process to be executed on a much cheaper and faster chain (BSC for now).

To the end user, it looks and feels like trading on eth only, but with much less fees that would normally be incurred- hence the “trading on eth with much cheaper fees”.

The bridge will continuously become more and more efficient and we are experimenting with other chains as well. Exciting times!

5. I went the wrong way over the bridge and did something that I specifically was told not to… still haven’t been able to loose my funds though!

6. Really Really well and I can assure you its no gimmick the bridge being tested in VIP. Some really clever guys in there. Hardcore coders and testers. Finessing and suggesting and working directly with the team developers.

Its been a real eye opener to witness. Tiny tweaks here and there, additions to UI surrounding user friendly functionality. I put in the occasional 'thumbs up' in there, just to let them know I fully understand ALL of their tech talk!!!!!!!!!

Its a live environment and a coming together which has been amazing to watch this last week or so. You need to fully appreciate why they are testing it the way they are. Loving the lack of over promising and under delivering. Wev'e been there, done that and learnt a lot from it.

I genuinely see this year as being absolutely massive with this style of delivery and the BRIDGE will be one BANGING Catalyst.

7. Unlike other bridges where your funds can get “stuck” due to liquidity issues, Orion bridge simply tells you (transaction fails) if you’re not able to bridge. It won’t hold your funds hostage ever.

8. Probably most interesting about the bridge is that WizarD was able to use BSC to buy ORN on KuCoin.

KuCoin only supports ERC20 ORN.

9. Based on my experience testing it: orion bridge doesn't create tokens out of thin air, so they have to come from somewhere. The big advantage of the broker network is that there is a connection to CEX's which in this way can function as an external bridge on the back end. Also in the next iteration of the bridge a more decentralized way of providing liquidity for it is planned. Without going too deep into the techniques of atomic swaps enables 'depositing' a token in one version and 'withdrawing' a token in another version from the bridge.

bridging from bsc to eth will cost you bsc fees and bridging from eth to bsc will cost you eth fees...

So it s not zero fees anyway

Bridging from one chain to the other, is just one part of the bridge. There are other interesting feature that would be available as time goes on. Just wait on it!

True, you can't completely avoid network fees (unless you are on a gasless network), but instead of paying large fees for executing complex smart contracts (to make the swap), you just need to pay the transfer fee to the bridge (that's the cheapest fee there is on a network). So instead of paying 100s of dollars to bridge the asset (on eth network), you only pay a fraction of that. This is massive! 😄

Is the transfer fee to the bridge same as the bridge fee ? Not sure how the fee system works but I ll silently wait for more info :)

The transfer fee is the network fee to transfer your funds to the bridge (same fee as you would pay to transfer your token from one wallet to another). The bridge will then execute the swap with 0 fees

Bridges like Binance Bridge for example cap how much you can bridge at one time, and charge $10 bridge fee per transaction (on top of network fees).
