a few things:
1. I understand the concept of running verifiable programs off chain via the EVM - is this currently deployed and running on mainnet? Or is it coming in the future?
2. The staking APR is 50%: why so high? Does this come only from gas?
3. How does one interact with a Cartesi contract? Is there an equivalent of MetaMask?
1. PoS(Proof of Stake) part of Noether (our side-chain for providing a cheap and large data storage service) is working since December. The staking system runs on top of Ethereum. Each block is claimed on-chain by its producer, requiring the node to spend gas to execute the corresponding transaction. As you set up a node to produce blocks for you, you need to fund it with enough ETH to complete the setup and also to produce blocks for some time. You can find the cost associated with each required transaction on Ethereum in the FAQ(https://github.com/cartesi/noether/wiki/FAQ#how-much-eth-do-the-transactions-involved-in-staking-ctsi-cost). 2. Actually better to ask second question at our Discord Technical Community.
You mentioned that as you set up a node to produce blocks for you, you need to fund it with Enough ETH to complete set up. My question is why not fund it with CTSI? Funding with ETH is counterproductive to over all development of CTSI.
Noether(our sidechain) only compatible with Ethereum.
