Why do L1s pump right now?
Because to do anything on a main chain, you need to have and expend that token. Want to send to an ERC20 wallet? You need ETH. Want to overspend on a crappy pixelated jpeg? You need SOL. Want to use some Avalanche DeFi? You need AVAX.
Someday (sooner than you think but not as quickly as you'd like), this will all happen on L2. Specifically, CCIP. To do anything with Blockchain, you'll need LINK to use the interoperability layer.
So think of the total value locked for the L1 tokens today. And now think about having one token that is the easiest, most efficient, and most secure way to interact with ALL of these chains.
What do you think the value of that token might be?
DOT is the meta protocol and LINK is the meta meta protocol
I don't know enough about DOT and how this all fits in tbh. Need to research more. However, I imagine DOT isn't going to have DONs and DECO and Town Crier and super linear staking and so forth.
You can't even compare DOT to LINK. I mean it's totally different ecosystem
I know, it's symbiotic
