Due to some incident of scam reports happening lately, please

keep yourself safe from scammers by following this simple steps :)

📌 How do I stop people from adding me to Telegram Groups and Channels ? 📌

If you joined a Telegram group or channel with large audience, chances are somebody will try to add you to other groups that are very likely promoting SCAM/SPAM activities.

To protect yourself from such actions, do the following in your Telegram App:

1️⃣ Go to: Settings
2️⃣ Select: Privacy and Security -> Groups & channels
3️⃣ Select: Who can add me to group chats? -> My Contacts

🔓 This will protect you from unknown people adding you to bad groups and channels.

(Note that this will only safeguard you from scammers adding you to scam groups but will not stop them from directly messaging you. Block and report their accounts and you may also report them through @notoscam)

Can you double check if you ticked 'My Contacts' on 'Who can add me to group chats'?
