right away, thus showing strength? If so, then why would the longs close if they know we’re in an uptrend?

That makes sense, thanks. I just still don’t understand their motivation for closing. Pretty clear to me we’re in an uptrend and I’ve been buying link every time it dips.

Ok, I guess I’m wrapping my head around it. Over leveraged longs close to protect their profits but they get bought up right away, hence what seems bearish becomes bullish

I'm not even certain I would call them over leveraged. They've been open a long time and survived the $16 drop.

But the point is that it's a lot of selling pressure that is being bought up. And then some.
