longs closing also makes it so you cant cascade in a crash, since theres no one to squeeze

Because they are probably large positions and want to manage risk if all of crypto nukes.
Ok, I guess I’m wrapping my head around it. Over leveraged longs close to protect their profits but they get bought up right away, hence what seems bearish becomes bullish
I'm not even certain I would call them over leveraged. They've been open a long time and survived the $16 drop.
But the point is that it's a lot of selling pressure that is being bought up. And then some.
Yep that I get. And I like it. My portfolio went from about 50% link to about 75% since the year started
their liquidations probably were single digits so not overleveraged
