and discussion and would welcome input and ideas from everyone. I'm not sure which among these are good ideas and bad ideas yet but here are some of them:
- potentially have a grant for an active community member on the forums to help guide the process and enforce things in a very nice way 😄
- reorganize the forums to create a final FIP sub category that will clearly show what was passed (and the final version) and what failed. The same person could be responsible for this on a regular basis.
- I've heard a mention of treasury proposals previously - I'm thinking about developing a process so that we can move fast to authorize asset purchases (probably only for assets we already have on the balance sheet). My fear here is that random protocols will try to hijack it to get us to buy their bags, hence the requirement that we have to already own some of the asset for it to be fast-tracked.
- for non time sensitive topics, I'm trying to think if we can create a regular schedule for votes. I could see this being helpful in that it would simplify the attention required to participate in governance (it's hard to check things daily for some of us) but I'd be mindful that we don't over complicate our governance or make it hard for people to navigate.
- would there be demand for a more governance / protocol focused frax telegram group? Anyone would be welcome but it would likely have a higher signal to noise ratio than the main group for governance and protocol related discussion. I'm not sure about the pros and cons of this.
- I think that there would be demand if someone wanted to do a weekly summary of notable developments in the forums and items coming up for vote. This would probably drive engagement. It probably wouldn't take that long and as Frax grows in importance it would probably become an invaluable update for people that don't have time to stay on top of the forums every day.
Those are just some ideas - I bet much better ones exist within our community. My big picture thought is that Frax is growing into a dominant protocol and as a community we should make sure our process and governance are just as strong.
"- potentially have a grant for an active community member on the forums to help guide the process and enforce things in a very nice way 😄" i would like to apply for this position, :)
