following questions
1. how is kyberswap differ from aggregators like 1inch?
2. any plan to onboard other dexs in zkyber?
3. What is roadmap of Kyber for 2022?
hey, thank for asking the question, it shows you care. This is also one of the thing we always keep discussing internally inside the team and will have a public post regarding it. In sort I can tell. 1. we still have many things to catch up with 1inch, although there is 1 key thing: KyberSwap aggregator will never take fee out of users. Along the way, we provide more features than 1inch like support fee on transfer tokens, support many more chains, and many other ambition plans to make sure it can handle huge amount of requests from the partners 2. zkyber was a testnet experiment, we got huge amount of interest, however, as a product, we saw many problems and working internally to finetune it. Timeline is not clear BUT WE GOT ALL OF THE TECH and we built it up from scratch. The plans to onboard other dexes in zkyber is not there yet. 3. This will be public along the way, sorry we can't firmly tell because the market is just insane, it changes everyday.
Thank you so much for the information :) Just curious, if kyberswap doesn't take money from users then what is the business model? i think, shipping matured product is way better than shipping the one which shows problem every now and then. i 100% like the approach to fix all the issues before onboard others. L2 without other dexs is same as a one person in deserted island. Is it technically and economically possible to run zkyber without onboarding othe dexs?
it is certainly possible to run zkyber without other dexes, of course. The business model of KyberSwap is still part of the pool fee. We might add more or make change in the future as you see the space changes very quickly, as long as the Dao approves us 😄
Very interesting. 1. could you please enlighten me, how is aggregator function is possible in L2 where there is no other dexs? 2. won't there be liquidity issue? 3. Is it economically profitable for user to transfer fund to zkyber L2 for swap where there is no other dexs and limited activities?
1. the aggregator wouldn't work there, however, zkyber has its own protocol where users can deposit/withdraw and earn fee there. Just like how DMM works or Uniswap works. However, in the other scope, aggregation between different chains is one of the many interesting problems that we are working on, nothing to reveal yet though 2. there will be liquidity issue of course but liquidity and users issues come in hand, there has to be a way to break that chicken and egg problem and to be transparent, we are still working on it to see how we can bootstrap one. We need ideas from you guys as well. 3. same to #2 question. I don't have convincing answer on that yet.
yeah, as the future is multichain, DEX indeed will move in this direction. This year will be very huge for kyber, checking the weekly chart against BTC, we have a lot of catching up to do
