from kybersap that will lunched in zkyber?
2. Do we still need zkyber if fee is low in kyberswap arbitrum?
Hi Aaa, Just to interject here, KyberSwap deployment in Arbitrum network is just the same as when KyberSwap deployed on Polygon, BSC, Avalanche networks. We basically expanded to a new network. Zkyber, on the other hand, is a different product we are experimenting with. Depending on if we can solve the problems, Zkyber can be a feature of KyberSwap in the future. We have high hopes for ZKyber so we are not giving up. The team is continuing to conduct research and rectify the issues but for now, knowing that high gas fees on Ethereum is a drawback for many of our users, KyberSwap's integration with Arbitrum gives our users another option to trade/add liquidity at much lower fees.
Thanks Tania for the reply. What i am not clear is, Let's say kyber team solve all the issues of the zkyber in a year time, my question is what is thing zkyber will bring to the table which arbitrum can't bring at the moment?
It's true that many of the objectives behind ZKyber(cheaper, fairer, faster and secure trades) is accomplished with KyberSwap's integration with Arbitrum. ZKyber needs work, but in the meantime we still want to give our users the best trading experience possible. Hence our decision to partner with Arbitrum, so that we can fufill our users' needs as soon as we can. Which is not to say ZKyber will remain stagnant. The landscape of DeFi is ever-changing, so we will continue to take our findings as a learning experience and conduct research to improve and refine ZKyber along the way.
i believe kyber core team should have better answer than this.
once zkyber is live, what are the things kyberswap will have which can't be achieved in arbitrum? is it front runner protection? settlement time? is it better liquidity? is it better ux?...
We understand what you're asking, but unfortunately we cannot provide a concrete response at this point in time. The goal behind ZKyber was to build a ZK-Rollup-based L2 scaling solution, yes, with native front-running resistance. This is still the goal, but as we are still conducting research it would be premature and irresponsible to provide any sort of guarantee to our community. As you know, the world of DeFi changes quickly, and the good thing about ZKyber is that we are in a flexible enough position to make adjustments as we improve. While research is being conducted, changes are likely to be made to improve on our current situation and meet the needs of DeFi's changing landscape. As such, do hope that you are able to understand that we are unable to provide a list of features as you seem to be looking for. As the team continues to work on ZKyber, we will be able to provide more concrete updates in future :)
sorry it was a busy day, i have answered your questions in the notion page here: https://www.notion.so/kybernetwork/Kyber-community-Q-A-1b8eca2cc164457db580a4a4b587cac7#1edbd0ebf5e1470091d0038fe14299c7
