people with background in code and such. It's cool but I'm not in the field, so it doesn't make much sense. When will we have a newbie onramp?

This is why I say we need bridges. Exchanges won’t relist us. Best way and best option is to allow other chains to bridge to XMR in a decentralized manner. Best non custodial one on ETH for BTC is Ren. Would need something similar to this

Is there any work on this front? What about atomic swaps? Is that considered a type of bridge?

Atomic swaps are for swapping assets like XRM - ETH or XMR - BTC . Bridging will bring XMR onto a chain as a derivative of itself (aka sXMR or wXMR) . I don’t believe anyone has done this other than SCRT . Atomic swaps solves the issue of needing a middle man to finalize the trading of assets in a swap. No idea why there aren’t more bridges to try to move XMR to and from multiple chains as well
