Hey, the wrapper/bridge is basically switching between token standards, you have those native oep4 tokens, such as ONT and ONG and then you have their orc20 equivalents, so you can swap 1:1 between them, depending on where you need to use them I guess. So if there is an EVM based dex, you would need orc20 tokens.
@SanguineSuns - just to expand on this answer. ONG is actually the native gas for the EVM. However, some contracts may require ERC-20 standard. Just like ETH isn't ERC-20 compatible, hence wETH exists, so we need wONG for those types of contracts.
