We're working on a 2FA based solution atm (relying on google authenticator), which is more user friendly than a ledger for 95% of the userbase, this will be followed then by adding ledger support which will complete the coverage of all remaining users needs 👍.

The network is mac compatible, the client isn't yet. This said a cross platform browser wallet (ala metamask) will be released before the mac client is released, allowing you to manage your coins and interact with dapps (like the NFT marketplace, defi, etc).
