Bitcoin came up as an anonymous currency. It's actually just a pseudonymous one. The reason for Metaverse is already explained in the statement by me.

BTC is a convenient store of legitimate value. It came labelled as a current, but this turned out to be false. The current market cap of gold is 12T. The best BTC can do is to eat into 50% of this market share, i.e BTC can barely 10x from it's current value at the best case scenario. BTC is lousy as a replacement for currency.
