🧑‍💻 Testnet Update 🧑‍💻 @everyone Dear Beta Supporters, on Monday, 14.03.22

we will release our L16 Beta Network - this is NOT the L16 Testnetwork. But it aims to prepare the L16 Testnetwork finally.

Our intention is to answer the following questions:

👉 We want to understand how the network is reacting when more nodes and validators are attached to it with random behavior. The theory demands 2/3 non Byzantine validator node. How many of these nodes can we expect? And is finality still guaranteed in a bigger network?

👉 We were focusing a lot on a smoothly running network. With our changes came also a disruption in our tool chain. We want to understand how the additional services are being used and if our documentation is well prepared to meet your needs?

👉 We want to gradually meet the fragmentation in OS and hardware and curious to hear about the different setups you will be using

👉 Last but not least we want to come back to you and develop under the scrutiny of the public eye.....

Don't expect everything to be perfect yet. Our main focus in this run was a smooth running consensus machine. Things might not work as you expect but also not as we expect. In an ideal scenario we don't want to restart the Beta Network but continously upgrade the binaries until Testnetwork release but most likely there will be good reasons to restart it.

I know ideally they didn't want to restart, but figured they would per that announcement. Was there an explanation on how/why it will be exactly one month to restart?
