There is no specific timeframe known at this point. Many

different smart contracts have been explored but they have either not been deemed to fit Verge or not good enough in terms of security. What good is it to give an update on progress that is later found to be cast aside because of unforeseen issues? Yes it would be a good to have SC on the Verge chain but it has to be done properly and thoroughly

But is Miniscript still the front runner? It sounds like its been discarded while the team does more research. I only ask because in Sept/Oct last year the XVG website was updated saying Miniscript was going to be chosen (and has been their since)
