fee every time you bought a chocolate bar or can of drink or anything or even just to send a bit to someone else as a gift? Seems like absolute insanity...it cannot come to pass that this will happen
but… you DO this now for digital payments. Credit cards have transaction fees. You may not see them, but your merchant sure does and as a result passes those fees on. And depending on the gift (ie a pre-paid Visa Debit card, fees can be as high as $5.95) to get one of those. People do pay it, but Nano is great about having an incentivization system that does not NEED fees for end users. I could see merchants offering discounts for nano users (time value of not waiting for funds to settle in days + transaction fees avoided + (potentially) marketing “discount” to bring in new users)
